PDM – Monkey into Space

SMASHING! That’s the word for the next release of the Dutch duo Firebeatz. This guys are togheter from 2008, and they made a great job so far.

I like the strong vibe of “Disque”, a sound that makes me jump from my armchair. It is definitely a track that I’d play in the club.

“Disque” will be out on December 10th via Spinnin Records.

Hello provibers!

Tonight I have a nice track for you, from ‘Phototaxis’, an electronic group from Israel. The track it’s called “Fire”.

What it’s very interestig is that “Rating” Magazine reviewed their debut album like this:

It’s even more surprising that bands miles away from bristol, sometimes sound more authentic than Portishead itself, and even have the audacity to come up with an interesting twist.” (Leon Feldman)

The electro scene is known to be an epitome of post-modern our civilization that is still deeply embedded in its roots, a melding of modern age
sound production technology closely coupled with ancient – sometimes even mystical – beats and patterns.
Just like the first rhythm a baby ever feels is the mother’s heartbeat, so electro beats attempt to resurrect the primal instincts via repetitive
and mesmerizing order that drifts into sometimes nearly chaotic, unpredictable strange attractors.
It is therefore not a surprise that a bit less modern genre, soul music, finds its way more and more in close grip with various threads of the
electro scene: the live, warm, slow and hot react with the programmed, cold, fast-paced and frigid. To have and have not, to yield and deny, an unending
passionate Ouroboros that wraps us with vengeance and lets go with a promise, that’s what this newly bred offspring of music and digital age brings: electro-soul.
“Fire”, a new track by Phototaxis, is an exemplar. The thin flat beats coalesce with the deep vocals driving us up and down, circling to find our soul and reach our world.

Hi fellowes! Today I’ll introduce a song that I used it in my mixes. It’s called “Remolino” and comes from Moritos.

The producer crew “Moritos” came together 15 years ago with the aim of producing their own clubmusic. However,they lost their main goal quickly since the very begin, by getting the chance, and taking it, to produce and remix tunes of well known artists.

Considering that many producers dreamed of working for majors, Moritos in the meantime realized that they were already far away from their main m
ission. So after a long period of various projects they hark back to produce their own Music with international influences for the clubs in the whole world.

They decided not to produce or remix for others any longer and started to concentrate on their own music.

They then put together the 1st single Remolino, a track inspired by cumbia-house sounds, which had been consequently put on a “let see what happens” folder. Fortunately some of their friends listened to the track and pushed them to present it to different labels.

I also present to you the remix from Gilles Fillon , which is amazing too!
